Following the success of her debut album Honky Tonic, Ariel Jade returns with Crazy Loves Company, a fiery, genre-blurring single that proves she’s not here to fit into Nashville’s mold—she’s here to break it entirely. Steeped in rock rebellion yet grounded in the storytelling traditions of country and bluegrass, Crazy Loves Company is as raw and unapologetic as the artist behind it.
At first, listen, Crazy Loves Company feels like a punch to the gut in the best way possible. Ariel’s signature rasp, honed by years of pulling inspiration from rock icons like Joan Jett and Stevie Nicks, crackles over a soundscape that blends honky-tonk grit with classic rock attitude. But the song’s weight doesn’t just come from its sonic force—it’s a deeply personal reflection on the kind of relationships that pull you into chaos, the ones where love and destruction go hand in hand. “You know when someone in your life keeps doing crazy things and wants to drag you right into the mud with them,” she asks. “That’s what inspired this song.”
Jade co-wrote and co-produced Crazy Loves Company with longtime collaborator Mike Loudermilk, who also engineered the track. Between the two of them, every instrument and vocal layer was meticulously crafted, showcasing not only Jade’s musical dexterity but also her refusal to hand off creative control. “I stack my own harmonies on the track, giving the background vocals a really unique sound,” she shares. “I remember telling Mike, ‘Put some Jimmy Page in that thing.’” The result is a track that’s undeniably fierce—blistering guitar licks, layered harmonies that are both haunting and anthemic, and a pulsing rhythm section that makes Crazy Loves Company feel destined for a live setting.
Studio X Nash: The Creative Heart of a Visionary
The single isn’t just another notch in Jade’s discography—it’s a testament to the space she’s built around her artistry. Studio X Nash, her creative hub housed within RCA Victor Studios, has quickly become a breeding ground for innovation, storytelling, and community-building. “It’s my dream come true—a songwriter studio and a media production space,” she says. “We’re doing live talk shows, mini-documentaries, songwriter rounds, and now, new Studio X TV shows centered around Music Row news.”
The studio isn’t just a workspace for Jade—it’s an incubator for Nashville’s next wave of artists. From impromptu collaborations to intimate songwriter sessions streamed live on Twitch, Studio X is where history meets the cutting edge. “I’ve bumped into and worked with people I wouldn’t have otherwise,” she explains. “Walking down the hall one day, a musician came out of my friend’s studio, and within minutes, we were recording a behind-the-scenes documentary about his project. We’ve already written five songs together since then.”
The Canvas Lounge Residency: Building a Scene, Not Just a Setlist
Beyond the studio, Jade has been carving out a live music space that’s as eclectic and inclusive as her sound. Her residency at Nashville’s Canvas Lounge isn’t just a stage—it’s a movement. Dubbed Monday Mashup, the weekly show blends jam bands with open mic sessions and songwriter showcases, creating a space where artistry thrives without pretense.
“I’ve been helping run a monthly charity event at Canvas Lounge for a while now, and that’s what led to this residency,” she says. “It’s been amazing to see it grow. We’ve had big jam bands act as the house band, we’ve built an open mic culture, and we’re featuring international and LGBTQ+ artists in rotating showcases.”
With special guests and experimental sets, Monday Mashup isn’t just a gig—it’s an ever-evolving platform that mirrors Jade’s own journey as an artist. The same fearlessness that fuels her music fuels her curation of these events. “It’s about creating a real music community,” she says. “A place where people can come, play, and belong.”
Twitch, Cosplay, and Breaking the Rules of Genre
If there’s one thing that defines Ariel Jade, it’s her refusal to be boxed in. While most artists stick to a single lane, Jade thrives in the intersection of music, gaming, and performance art. Before returning to music full-time, she built a massive Twitch following as a professional esports competitor and cosplay performer. And though she’s pivoted back to songwriting, her online community remains a cornerstone of her artistry.
“Twitch is unique—it lets me reach a global audience that can’t always make it to a show,” she explains. “I’ve been able to connect with fans from Australia to Kuwait to Germany, and monetize my music in ways traditional platforms don’t allow.”
But her Twitch streams aren’t just stripped-down acoustic sessions. They’re immersive performances where cosplay, storytelling, and music collide. Later this spring, she’s taking that fusion to the stage in a way only she could. “On March 22, I’ll be performing at the International Cherry Blossom Festival outside Atlanta. I’ll play my Honky Tonic set in cosplay as Harley Quinn—then I’ll step right into emceeing the cosplay contest as Harley.”
It’s this kind of unfiltered creativity that makes Jade stand out—not just in country music, but in the industry at large. She doesn’t separate the parts of herself; she integrates them, proving that artistry isn’t about fitting a mold, but breaking it with intention.
A New Era, A Bigger Vision
With Crazy Loves Company kicking off a new chapter, Ariel Jade is poised for a breakout year. Her music is evolving, her live presence is expanding, and her influence in Nashville’s LGBTQ+ community is only growing stronger. She’s not just making songs—she’s making spaces. Whether it’s through her songwriting, her events, or her fiercely independent approach to artistry, Jade is building something bigger than herself.
“This is my main era,” she declares. “Bringing all my worlds together—Twitch, performance art, cosplay, music—I’m creating a real experience. And I’m just getting started.”
